Busaba Floral Street interior 00

Busaba Floral St opened in August 2011.

The site sits opposite the Royal Opera House in the heart of Covent Garden. The restaurant façade was designed to be fully openable to the street using full height glazed doors in teak frames. The long narrow site is laid out with large square sharing tables set between the regular columns of the existing building. The rear of the restaurant houses a mezzanine area that includes a roof light attracting diners to the rear of the space, as well as bench dining looking down the length of the space. The walls, columns and downstand beams are clad in teak and the bar is clad in riven slate. The space is both intimate and atmospheric, lit by parchment shades located above the tables and offers diners a pleasant relief from the busy street, in marked contrast to the many other drinking and dining venues in the market.
