Busaba Panton St is the fourth Busaba restaurant to open in London, following branches in Soho, Marylebone and Bloomsbury.
The restaurant opened in March 2010 providing 160 covers in London’s Theatre district. While retaining the defining aspects of the original design, the architects have developed the interior to sit comfortably into the site.
Set within the context of a Grade 11 listed Georgian stylebuilding designed by Sire Albert Richardson. New sash operable sash windows have been fitted reflecting the window bench dining arrange ment of the earlier restaurants, while details match the historic character of Richard’s original design.
The interior is sumptuous and convivial, lined in hardwoodand slate panels set within bronze frames. Deep ceiling beams define the spaces containing square teak communal dining tables. The kitchen pantry is separated by a thai lattice screen and the bar is detailed in slate slabs.
